ANN: You will see three MSL assignments due Monday, September 2 (meaning midnight at the end of Monday). The first is "Chapter O Homework" which will cover the MML interface including how to enter answers. Also, "Section 1.1 Homework" and "Section 1.2 Homework" will cover the material we cover today and Wednesday in class. The syllabus will explain how we will usually have MSL due the Monday after the week we finish the notes in class. In class, we introduced ourselves to each other and talked over some bits from the syllabus and class policies. I also handed out information from the math tutoring center. I wanted to cover some 1.1 material, so we started the class notes for 1.1. We got through example 1 and will continue next time. After we finish the notes, I would expect you to try the homework in MSL as soon as you can. I would like you to get MSL set up as instructed on the syllabus and try to complete "Chapter O Homework" before next class. You do not need to do the other two assignments yet as we have not covered the notes in class.

Any issues like that can be brought to my attention. I will be telling you sometime in the next week when you can review the exam. In class, we covered the class notes for 3.1.
