ANN: You will see three MSL assignments due Tuesday, September 3 (meaning midnight at the end of Tuesday). The first is "Chapter O Homework" which will cover the MSL interface including how to enter answers. Also, "Section 1.1 Homework" and possibly "Section 1.2 Homework" will cover the material we cover Thursday in class. The syllabus will explain how we will usually have MSL assignments due the Tuesday after the week we finish the notes in class. In class, we introduced ourselves to each other and talked over some bits from the syllabus and class policies. I also handed out information from the math tutoring center. I would like you to get MSL set up as instructed on the syllabus and try to complete "Chapter O Homework" before next class. Also, read the syllabus in full.

ANN: The campus is closed Monday, Sep. 2 for Labor Day. You may need to work around that to get the homework done. ANN: You will see two MSL assignments due Tuesday, September 3 (meaning midnight at the end of Tuesday). The first is "Chapter O Homework" which will cover the MSL interface including how to enter answers. Also, "Section 1.1 Homework" will be due since we finished the notes in class today. I did postpone the due date for "Section 1.2 Homework" since we did not cover it yet. In class, we covered the class notes for 1.1. As I said, you are responsible for that MSL homework. After we finish a section's notes, I would expect you to try the homework in MSL as soon as you can. I had intended to do some MSL demo work but could not get on the internet. I will try to do it next week.
September 3

We went on to finish the class notes for 1.2 and to cover the class notes for 1.3. We started to cover the class notes for 1.4, getting through example 2.
