ANN: Chapter O Homework in MyMathLab (MML) will be due this upcoming Monday, January 27. ANN: We will finish the Class Notes for 1.4 next week and so the Section 1.4 Homework in MML will be due the following Monday. In class, students introduced themselves and I introduced the class with several policies and class details. I handed out the syllabus and we looked through the main points. You should read it thoroughly soon. You need to get MyMathLab (MML) set up as well; you will see instructions under MyMathLab and on the syllabus. I did a brief demonstration of my Website www.stlmath.com. Students completed First of Semester Quickie Survey so that I may know a bit of your histories. I handed out the handout for our Math Resource Center which is our math tutoring location on campus. In class, we started the Class Notes for 1.4, getting through the page 1 discussion preceding example 1. We will continue next time. The 1.4 worksheet Manipulating Complex Numbers 3 (attached to the Notes given out in class but is a separate link here on the Website) will be collected next Wed., Jan. 29.

If you are absent when a worksheet is due, email me a picture of it to get full credit and then turn in the paper when you return. In class, we finished the Class Notes for 1.4. The 1.4 worksheet Manipulating Complex Numbers 3 (attached to the Notes given out in class but is a separate link here on the Website) will be collected next Mon., Feb. 3. We then started the Class Notes for 2.2, getting through page 2. The two worksheets from 2.2 should be completed but will not be collected.
